Trying something new

Open source project usually go to sponsors to get big donations. Sponsers may want something in return, like including their software.

We’re trying something new. Instead of making an operating system where the once with money get their software included, we try to get a small sum from all users and stay un-biased.

The idea is that everyone donates $ 5. It’s a fundraiser from today till Tuesday.
Tell your friends and read more about it over at Ubuntu Eee’s home page

  1. Ok, I donated 5$ since I want to support this project. But honestly, you won’t be able to get enough donations for hiring a developer. Be serious, your project is too new and small for this. Things like that take more time and more community development :)

  2. [UPDATE] 104 donations in 20 hours. That’s still a donation every 10 minutes. Sum: $ 572
Remember to tell you’re friends that you donated!

  3. Update:
    30 donations and a sum of $ 100.
That means about a donation every 10 minutes for 5 hours.
